Chattering Corpse Heap

Type of Role

Pile of Bodies

Alternate Names

Molten Cadaver Puddle (In Bionifight Ultimate: Drift Force)

The Chattering Corpse Heap was first used during Bionicle Mafia II: Electric Boogaloo, used as a dumping ground for all the dead players throughout the game. Since then it has turned into a running gag throughout the Third Age games.

The Chattering Corpse Heap has had many different appearances throughout the games.

Bionicle Mafia II: Electric BoogalooEdit

This game introduced the Chattering Corpse Heap, where all of the dead players were left to rot.

Bionicle Mafia III: By the NumbersEdit

In this game it became the Eternally Burning Chattering Corpse Heap; essentially the same as before, except always on fire thanks to the curse of the Pyro.

Bionicle Mafia IV: The Rich, The Poor, and The PyroEdit

In this game it became the Eternally Floating Chattering Corpse Heap, due to the location of the game being up in the sky and coinciding with the "air" theme of the game.

Bionicle Mafia VI: The Good PyroEdit

Due to the game taking place in Mahri-Nui, the corpse heap became the Scuba Diving Chattering Corpse Heap.

Bionicle Mafia VII: Frozen WastelandsEdit

With this game taking place far away to the north where everything is frozen, it became the Chattering Corpse Glacier. However, this game's corpse heap is also a combination of all the corpse heaps from the past, making it more of a corpse mountain.

Darkest Days Trilogy (VIII, IX, X)Edit

In the first part of Darkest Days, it became the Shadowy Corpse Heap, matching the darkness theme of the game. The Shadowy Corpse Heap continued on into the next two games.

Bionicle Mafia: Southern RetributionEdit

The Chattering Corpse Heap in this game was known as the Really Thirsty Chattering Corpse Heap, matching the Wild West theme of the game.

  • Since its incarnation, the Chattering Corpse Heap has since gone through several elemental transformations: fire, air, water, ice, and shadow.
  • Bionicle Mafia: Southern Retribution is so far the only game since Bionicle Mafia II: Electric Boogaloo to feature a Chattering Corpse Heap that has not been altered elementally.
  • The Darkest Days Trilogy marked the first time a Chattering Corpse Heap lasted more than one game in a single incarnation.
  • It has been seen as an arena in Bionifight Ultimate and Bionifight Ultimate: Drift Force.
